In the past the scheme has experienced numerous losses through courier issues during the holidays. Many couriers will not provide a day or time for delivery and some refuse to deliver to schools during the holidays at all.
Generally these couriers are independent and do not contract directly to the TELA scheme.
From July 1 2009 the TELA Scheme may be able to ship the laptops to selected areas on a case by case basis. To find out whether your school may be able to receive a delivery during the holiday period, please contact the TELA Helpdesk (
