The Ministry of Education has selected a new antivirus provider, Symantec.
After September 1 2009 the Ministry of Education TELA Scheme will begin to provide TELA and Leadspace HP and Toshiba standard model laptops with the new antivirus software installed. While the software image for each model is being updated there will be a transition period where some models will be supplied with the earlier CA Antivirus and Pestpatrol software installed and others with the Symantec software installed.
Schools will be able to install the new Symantec Endpoint Protection software on their current TELA laptops and those that are not supplied with Symantec Endpoint Protection preinstalled.
